The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics is just weeks away, and for many athletes, the dream of competing on the sport’s biggest stage is finally within reach. But the road to the Games remains far from smooth. And the growing number of falls is proof of that. Recently, there have been two incidents, both of which were truly scary. More on those below.

The truth is, lyrics weren’t permitted until fairly recently. But now, skaters can perform to music with words, marking one of the most significant rule changes in modern figure skating history.
