Biles Goes Under Surgery

Publication by EssentiallySports | July 25, 2026 | Edition #645 |
Hey Athletic Fans,
A tough start to the day — Simone Biles reveals she's undergoing surgery, a humbling reminder that even the most decorated athletes face their own battles, just as USATF Championships wraps up its opening days. Elsewhere, Sha'Carri Richardson continues rewriting the record books, and controversy brews after Hunter Woodhall's defense of a USATF protest.
Quick heads up: the evening newsletter will be dropping a little later than usual for the next two days. USATF's final two days are getting special editions instead, so you'll still get all the action, just on a slightly delayed schedule.
